Cherry Blossom

Are you clouds colliding, rising;
Castles in a vapour sky?
Are you snow resisting, tumbling;
Downy hearts of silk from high?
All life you swiftly signify
For light is your face and the world its refraction
Beauty your grace and hope its retraction.
I hold for your bloom and lament for the fall,
Pressing your petals to later recall
The celestial joy.
