Life's Long War

Life on earth succumbs to feel
The bitter, twisted, angry hatred
That builds inside of us

When our minds erupt with
Cold and deep
Loveless thoughts
And each day blossoming is another
Of dying, withering,
Shameful acts.

Those heated moments.

Moments of anger,
Moments of deceit,
Moments of anguish, despair, defeat.
Moments we wish that forever will pass,
Moments that have broken those hearts made of glass.
Moments we loathe, detest, despise,
Moments we live with, killing our lives.

So what do we do?

The sun continues to rise and fall
And the clouds still try to block it.
The best men seek for long lost peace
And still we try to mock it.

Yet the leaders hope and the hope will last
But what they hope for is the key.
As war and peace will go to fight
Which side will fight for me?
