Love
Love's Tapestry
Eyes of the world, what is love?
These visions enclosing our dreams
As tapestry woven in silken thoughts
By a single thread divinely tied in heaven.
Released upon the field in verve
To shade and colour
Transfixed do we become,
Undrawn by Beauty’s evocation
Of scenes from the loom of another,
That we confess to one truth and spin one view,
One freedom, one passion, in crossing stitches,
An eternal vow in alliance of strength and reliance of soul
That the light now enriches.
Eyes of the world, this is love -
The complete and whole, the binding of grace.
Collect and behold, this is love -
The pure and unreal, the undress and encase.
