We only spare the beats of time alone
In knowing that in Christmas times ago
Come fire, angels, God, we will atone
And leisure buoyant on the wispy snow.
Rejoice! The blessing of our Holy Lord,
Let’s feast on peace and love for all to see
And share the spirit by our own accord
Stood side by side beneath the tinselled tree.
But most of all the festival will share
The story of the Lord’s nativity
Reminding us no matter what we bear
We stand with God in generosity.
For truly thankful are we humble selves
The deeper yuletide charity does delve.
