Love Poems, November 2003-

Bridal Bouquet

Although love appears as a theme in much of my work, this is a collection of poems especially dedicated to the ones I love.

I plan to keep adding to this collection over the coming years. I’m aware that these are unarguably autobiographical and that may be reason enough for some people to be uncomfortable with publishing them. I take great pleasure, however, from occasionally moseying over them in chronological order not just sentimentally but also from the perspective of maturity. To cover the same subject across a lifetime of work is the best opportunity I have as a writer to document my own process and progression.

Love’s Tapestry was penned as reading for our wedding. Unity, Steam Railway Bridge, Sonnet No.2, Sophie, One Heart and Remembering Karlstad (which can be found in Sweden) were bound together as a Christmas present in 2011. Brave is a dedication to our daughter on her first birthday; Kebnekaise is a dedication to our son.

To follow these poems chronologically, start from the bottom and work your way up. New poems will, therefore, appear at the top of the list.
